The Problem: Essex is a west coast property trust with an impressive portfolio of modern apartments available to rent. Their website/digital presence was outdated and in need of a redesign to modernize and elevate their brand and create a more intuitive user experience to attract potential renters. The site needed to attract more quality leads and get renters into the application flow.
The Solution: We created a responsive site that highlighted each unique property and it's amenities with bold photography, clear iconography and a highly customizable search function with varying levels of location and amenity filters. We also created a robust profile in which the user could view upcoming appointments and save their favorite properties. We conducted user research with the target auidence and leveraged Essex's expertise to build a streamlined rental application flow.
My Role/Process: Lead Art Director. I worked closely with two other mid-range art directors to develop the look and feel. I worked alongside a strategist, UX designer and tech lead in agile sprints to develop the site deign and functionality in Sketch. I worked with a production artist to create the atomic design system in Sketch. The site was developed by an outisde vendor.
